She rolls over to face him, dark eyes shining. "Anything?"
"Anything that is within my power to give you."
Finduilas laughs. "Hardly a limitation at all," she teases.
Denethor runs his fingers through the glorious disarray of her hair. "More of one than I would brook, if I had the power."
Her eyes grow serious for a moment, and she looks into his eyes. "Don't even joke about that." But then she smiles, and her hand brushes, almost involuntarily, across the nearly imperceptible swell of her abdomen. "Besides, I have everything I could possibly want."
