I had PLANS for today.
I was going to go to my safety deposit box so I could start the process of replacing my social security card, and it's my best friend's birthday.
Instead, I'm home with my nephew, who's "sick."
He thought he'd get to lie around on the sofa and watch TV and play video games. After all, his mom lets him do that.
But dammit, if I have to waste a day watching him, he's not going to spend it having fun. I sent him to bed, and I'm watching Torchwood.
He thought he could out-stubborn me by curling up and refusing to go to bed. What he doesn't realize is that I've had twenty-seven years more practice at being stubborn than he has. I just stood over him and repeated myself until he decided that it would be less annoying to just go to bed.
