Spoilers!
Part Three of "The Daleks" properly introduces the Thalls (sp?), who far from being the horrible mutated freaks they were hinted at, are tall, blond, and conventionally attractive. Alydon, who left the drugs, accompanies Susan back to the Daleks' city. His people want to make a treaty with the Daleks.
The Daleks, sensing an opportunity to wipe out their enemies for good, decide to keep Team TARDIS around for a little longer. They let them have the drugs. With their health recovered, they proceed to engage in Wacky Shenanigans(TM) to get rid of the camera in the cell.
Meanwhile, the Thalls (who are very clean and well-dressed for a bunch of subsistence farmers) are engaging in their interpersonal drama. The Chick is jealous because Alydon talked to Susan. Meanwhile, at least some of them are thinking of actual survival. Though the guy who's wearing what looks like a crown muses about his people maybe having survived too long. (Reminding me of the Tenth Doctor.) The message from Susan comes, saying that the Daleks will leave food out for them. No one is the least bit suspicious, because Susan signed her name. Because it's impossible that she might be tricked into thinking that the Daleks will negotiate in good faith, or anything.
Back in the cell, more Wacky Shenanigans ensue, this time with the goal of escaping. They capture a Dalek by pulling it around by its limbs and putting mud on its eye, and the putting it on Alydon's plastic cloak (which he gave to Susan earlier) in order to insulate it.
They pull "something" out of the Dalek, and Ian climbs inside. But (surprise, surprise) he can't operate it, so the Doctor pushes him while Barbara and Susan pretend to be going somewhere for questioning. But after they've gone, a creepy claw appears from under the cloak ...
