Posting from the airport hotspot. Yay!

A Case of Vanity

Doctor Who, Crispy!Master, all ages, not mine. He never thought of himself as vain.

The Master had never considered himself particularly vain; though he was conscious of his appearance, he generally considered his attractiveness only as an asset in his manipulations. Congratulating himself on is looks would be a foolish waste of time.

He couldn't deny that he'd preened, just the slightest bit, when Queen Galleia said he had the very bearing of a god. Beyond that, though, personal charisma had never been more than a factor in his equations.

But the first time he staggered from his TARDIS's sick bay and caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror, he recoiled in horror.

On the Other Hand?

Doctor Who, Fifth Doctor/Ainley!Master, adult, not mine. Things have changed.

TRIGGER WARNING: consent is a bit iffy.

"The humans would say that the shoe is on the other foot." The Doctor's voice was placidly amused as he surveyed his bound, stripped prisoner. "Though maybe," he said as he pulled on the Master's glove, "a slightly different metaphor might be more appropriate."

"Do your worst, Doctor," he snarled through gritted teeth. The effect was somewhat ruined when he sucked in a breath, as the leather-sheathed fingers closed on his ankle.

If the Doctor was going to try to menace him, he should do him the favor of being, well, menacing.

The Doctor merely smirked at his growing erection.

Not Meant to Know

Pirates of the Caribbean, Liz, Pintel/Ragetti, teen and up, not mine. Liz gets an eyeful.

From the time she was a little girl, Elizabeth Swann was fascinated by pirates.

Even after her ordeal aboard the Black Pearl, she still thought about adventures on the high seas. Though she was happy with Will, there was a part of her that still longed to run away, to find freedom.

So there was a part of her that was thrilled to sail with Jack again. She thought she wanted to learn everything there was to know about pirating.

That is, until she found Pintel bending Ragetti over one of the canons, their pants around their ankles.

"'Ello, poppet."

Essentials

Robotech, Lisa/Rick, all ages, not mine. Packing to leave with the SDF-3.

"How do you pack up your whole life, knowing that you may never come back?"

Lisa looked at Rick. "We've had to leave places before. The Earth, the SDF-1 ... "

"Those were different, though. We didn't have a chance about leaving Earth, and we always thought the ship would be there. But this time ... "

She went to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm not worried," she said.

"I would've thought you'd be the one who was doing all the worrying, Lisa."

She shook her head, and pulled him closer. "I already know I have what I really need."

Baggage

Goldeneye, James/Alec, all ages, not mine. Alec is always packed.

It wasn't so much that 00-agents knew how to pack at a moment's notice, Alec thought, as that they never really unpacked.

He has an overnight bag ready to go, sitting on the floor of his closet. Suits for all occasions fill his garment bag. And of course, his 9mm is kept cleaned and ready.

Sometimes he feels like a stranger in his luxurious apartment, the country he defends, his own life.

In the field, behind enemy lines, is the only place he really feels at home. When he and James are in hostile territory together, the world makes sense.

Poutine

Doctor Who, Nine, Rose, Jack, all ages, not mine. Travel involves trying something new.

The Doctor leads Rose and Jack into a diner in the wilds of Quebec, and says, with that big grin of his, "we'll have three orders of poutine."

When the waitress sets the plates on the table, Rose looks suspiciously at them and asks, "what did the poor chips ever do to her?"

"I know travel is supposed to be broadening," Jack says, and takes a bite, "but I didn't realize that it meant the waistline."

Rose takes a bite, too. "Not bad," she says at last. "But they're still not proper chips."

"Not bad?" the Doctor asks. "They're fantastic!"

Yay for airport hot spots! All good. I particularly enjoy the Goldeneye one. It fits how I always saw Alec.
