Well, got the pattern altered, made most of the muslin -- and realized that the sleeves (even after lengthening them another 6 inches) were still waaaay too short, and a little too wide. I think I'll try adding another foot in length, and narrowing them by half an inch. See if that works.

In other words, I'm trying to convince myself that no, the next chapter of BFM doesn't completely suck, all my writing ability hasn't run out my ears, and I shouldn't give it all up to become a hermit somewhere.
