I never was really interested in Legend of the Seeker; I barely got through Wizard's First Rule due to the embarrassing feeling that I'd walked in on one of Terry Goodkind's wank sessions, and had zero interest in subjecting myself to the next book.
(This was long before I discovered GAFF, btw. Nowadays, I suspect I'd giggle my way through it, spork in hand. What can I say; I've been desensitized. After Celebrian (don't Google it from your work computer if you value your job, or any computer if you value your sanity), I don't think it would bother me nearly as much.)
But I've caught it a couple of times and thought it was cheesy enough to be funny, especially if there's nothing else on. I was up late last night, and I caught, and even though I couldn't stop thinking I SAW THIS EPISODE OF CLASSIC TREK! I have to admit I enjoyed it. And then I saw that another episode was on this afternoon and even though there were other things on, I found myself watching it.
And I think I'm in love. With Cara, who's like a combination of Sarah and Cameron, and as snarky and badass as Alec Trevelyan and James Norrington and Mace Windu PUT TOGETHER, and what's not to love?
And yeah, it's total cheesesauce. I. Don't. Care.
